The Major Novice team received a bye in the initial round of the playoffs for their first place finish in league play.  The teams first opponents were the Newmarket Redmens which they swept in three straight. Games one and two were a carbon copy of each other ending in 3-2 victory in overtime. Lucas Brockie scoring the winning goals with assists from Dakota Brancatella. Game three, which was held in King City, brought home a victory of 4-2.  This allowed the team to advance to the quarter finals.

The quarter finals were against TNT Tornados. The Knights jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first game, then TNT tied it up.  The Knights scored two late third period goals to win the game 5-3.  The second game had the Knights down 1-0 and then rallied back for a 3-2 victory. Connor Brunt got the game winner.  The third game started off slow for the Knights with TNT up 2-0.  The Knight's determination to clinch the series at home, allowed them to tie up the game 3-3. Again, Connor Brunt scored the winning goal , to give a 4-3 victory.  Outstanding goaltending from Michaela Shortill and Mitchell Merrilees allowed the team to accomplish a sweep in the series.  The team clinched the series on home ice and advanced to the semi finals. 

The team is awaiting the winner of Orillia and Stouffville before starting the semi final series.  Good luck Major Novice!
